8 day chimp, wildlife and Gorilla safari
Day one: Arrival Entebbe
You'll be personally met by our company representative upon arrival at Entebbe airport, and transfer to Cassia Lodge Overlooking Lake Victoria/Nateete Bandas. (For
those arriving earlier, an afternoon excursion can be planned to the famous tombs of
the Kabaka kings, Uganda museum,Bahai temple and Namugongo Martyrs shrine where 22
Christian convicts were killed under Kabaka(King of Buganda)-Mwanga in 1886. (Meal
plan: Dinner)
DAY 2 - KIBALE NATIONAL PARK
Leave Kampala after breakfast for the fascinating drive through papyrus swamps and
thick jungle of the Africa to Kibale National Park just under the Ruwenzori
Mountains. Afternoon guided walk in the crater lakes area of the park for
outstanding cultural visit. Meals and over night at Ndali Lodge/Chimps Nest a
stunning location overlooking a dramatic Crater Lake and the fabled "Mountains of
the Moon". Afternoon Bigodi wetland for birding is amazing. (Meal plan: Breakfast,
Lunch and Dinner)
DAY 3 - KIBALE/QUEENELIZABETH PARK
Early morning trek for chimpanzees. Kibale is the best reserve in Africa to view
chimps, a thick jungle with a towering canopy. In the afternoon, drive to the south
into Queen Elizabeth National Park, sightseeing and game viewing enroute. Dinner and
overnight at spectacular Mweya Lodge /Katara Lodge perched right on the edge of the
escarpment overlooking the Uganda great Lakes and Maramagambo forest respectively.

DAY 4 - QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK
Dawn game drive in Uganda's best park, where all the big game can be seen in
abundance. Famous for elephant and kob, expect to see some rarer animals like giant
forest hog. There are 638 recorded bird species in the park! After lunch, enjoy a
boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel which connects Lakes Edward and George, for large
numbers of buffalo and hippo. Dinner and overnight at spectacular Mweya Lodge
/Katara Lodge perched right on the edge of the escarpment overlooking the Uganda
great Lakes and Maramagambo forest respectively. (Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and
Dinner)
Day 5-Queen-Bwindi
Today's drive is through what is probably East Africa's most spectacular scenery,
the highland rain forests which reach to the volcanoes in which live the mountain
gorillas. A visit to view Kyambura gorge is interesting! Later, drive to Ishasha
sector. This is the lushest highland rain forest on earth, filled with primates and
exotic birds. The morning is spent on a game drive around the Ishasha Sector looking
for the rare tree African climbing lions. Thereafter drive to Bwindi via the
landscape of tea plantations Dinner and over night at Engagi Lodge or Ruhija Lodge/
Buhoma Community Bandas. (Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)
DAY 6 -BWINDI-Gorilla trek
Begin the day with breakfast ready for trekking, which begins at 8:00am with a
briefing from the UWA staff. Ensure to carry along with you rain jacket, drinking
water, snacks, jungle boots etc The guides will lead you inside the jungle to see
the shy Primates for a group you have been booked for. You may see the gorillas
eating, sucking ants from a tree, swinging on vines, playing and sleeping. Do not
forget to take your lunch boxes and all the necessary gear to track the rare
Mountain Gorilla, perhaps one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth. It
is most rewarding animal-based experience that clients get and others would
definitely do it again if given the opportunity. There are now only 650 left in the
world! The tracking may take between 2 and 6 hours but its well worth the effort.
There is always an option to hire a local porter (highly recommended as it supports
the local economy) who will carry your bag and literally, push you up the hills if
necessary! Dinner and over night at Engagi Lodge or Ruhija Lodge/ Buhoma Community
Bandas. (Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner)
Day 7: Bwindi-Entebbe
Return to Kampala in the morning, lunch break is made at Agip Motel Mbarara with
stop over at Equator Uganda crossing and Mpambire drum makers for a brief photo
opportunity and to shop souvenirs. Transfer to Entebbe. Dinner and overnight at Lake
Victoria Hotel Entebbe/Entebbe Airport Guest House (Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and
Dinner)
Day 8: Transfer to the Airport for your flight back home or to the next destination.
