Day 01: Entebbe to Kidepo flight
Arrive Entebbe in the morning. Fly to Kidepo passed the Nile River and vast savannah Land of Teso region overlooking the famous Elgon Volcanic Mountain. Overnight at Apoka Safari Lodge or Ngamoru camp or Apoka Bandas .Meal plan: (Full Board).
Day 02 Kidepo valley national park- Game drives:
After breakfast we will continue our journey the most magnificent and Africa’s finest wildernesses through the remote villages Karamojongs homesteads and finally into the valleys of Kidepo national park and was rated highly by the CNN Travel as the as one of the 10 best parks for its spectacular landscapes and great buffalo herds. With sprawling savannah and soaring mountains, Kidepo National Park might be the most picturesque park in Africa. This evening you can either take a game drive around the lodge area or perhaps recover from your drive with a refreshing dip in stunning swimming pool curved out of a granite kopje the pool affords fantastic views down the Narus valley and over a waterhole frequented by many animals. Overnight at Apoka Safari Lodge or Ngamoru camp or Apoka Bandas. Meal plan: (Full Board).
Day 3: Kidepo valley national park-Game drive to hot springs and nature walk. :
Depart in the morning after break and carry with you packed lunch for game drive to the hot springs via the palm trees lined Kidepo River, in search for Ostriches and leopards, tortoises along the way. After your packed lunch from the floor of Kidepo River amidst palm trees,we will stench our legs on guided nature walk through the park and return to hotel refresh yourselves, relax and have time to enjoy the wildernesses night overstay and meals at Apoka Safari Lodge or Ngamoru camp or Apoka Bandas. Meal plan: (Full Board).
Day 4:Kidepo-Cultural day:
In the morning after your breakfast,spend time to have a cultural experience that will bring into contact with Karamojong people at Karenga and Kapedo. Meet the local elders and have an opportunity to interact with them. They will show you the kraals, the grinding stones and many more interesting items. For revelers who want to have lunch with the locals, this is the day you will taste the head of a goat traditionally cooked or visit the IK people who stay on top of mount morungole. The day is crowned by a goat roast; yummy boiled offals wolfed down before a bonfire and washed down with pints of beer, tea and wine.Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight. Overnight at Apoka Safari Lodge or Ngamoru camp or Apoka Bandas (Full Board).
Day 5: Fly to Murchison Falls National Game Park:
Fly to Pakuba passed the Nile River and Lake Albert. Relax around the lodge or go for a game drive for the big five. Overnight at Paraa safari Lodge,Nile River camp,Pakuba Lodge, Murchison Game Lodge or Red Chill Camp. Meal plan: (Full Board).
Day 6: Murchison game drive and boat cruise and hike to the top of the falls:
Begin the day with a cup of African Coffee. After your cup of coffee,drive to the nothern bank of the park. Your guide will help you spot Elephant, Lion, Cape buffalo, Rothschild's giraffe, hartebeest, Waterbuck, Oribi, Bushbuck, Bohor reedbuck, hyena and if you are lucky, the leopard. Return to the hotel for breakfast and lunch. After lunch, go for a boat safari upstream the calm Victoria Nile to thebase of the falls stopping just tens of meters from the "Devil's Cauldron".En-route, marvel at the toothsome hippos, crocodiles and over this 17 km stretch you may see elephant, waterbuck and Uganda Kob crocodile. This is also a zone of many bird species like Goliath heron, Egyptian goose, pelican bee-eater,kingfisher, hornbill, cormorant and the rare shoebill stork. Overnight at Paraa safari Lodge, Nile River camp,Pakuba Lodge, Murchison Game Lodge or Red Chill Camp. Meal plan: (Full Board).
Day 7: Road transfer to Fort Portal town:
All day drive south via Hoima to Fort Portal through verdant countryside and past traditional homesteads and farms along Albertine Rift escarpments. Fort-Portal rests in the shadow of the fabled Mountains of the Moon Meals and overnight at Ndali Lodge,Primate Lodge or Chimpanzee Guest House. a stunning location overlooking a dramatic Crater Lake and the fabled "Mountains of the Moon". Evening cultural visit around the crates is amazing. Meal plan: (Full Board).
Day 8: Chimp tracking and transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP:
Half day search of chimpanzee and 10 other primate including phoestes, red colobus, blues, and red tailed and grey cheeked mangabey. The guide will provide detailed explanations, not only on primates, but also on all the forest fauna and flora and will ensure that your walk is both informative and enjoyable. This walk is excellent for viewing bird life and seeing primates at close quarters. After lunch, proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park following the mystical Ruwenzori Mt. Range via the Crater Lake region and baboon cliffs. A game drive en route to view lion, elephant, leopard, buffalo, hyena and a variety of antelope species. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Lodge.Kyambura Game Lodge,Katara Lodge,Ihamba Lodge or Mweya Hostel. Meal plan:(Full Board).
Day 9: Queen game drive and Kazinga boat cruise:
Dawn game drives today. Queen Elizabeth National Park diverse eco-system of grassy plains, tropical forest, rivers, swamps, lakes and volcanic craters is home to an incredible abundance of wildlife. Game drives in this park, with the massive Rwenzoris as a backdrop provides excellent opportunities to see lion, leopard, giant forest hog, cape buffalo, elephants, defassa waterbuck, Uganda Kob, Topi and bush buck. These game drives and the boat trip are a memorable method of discovering a vast array of wildlife. In the afternoon, enjoy the unique 2 hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel into Lake Edward. This trip passes through possibly the highest concentration of hippos. This launch cruise offers an excellent platform for photography, bird watching and game viewing. The prolific bird life is colourful and stupendous with well over 550 resident species. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Lodge.Kyambura Game Lodge,Katara Lodge,Ihamba Lodge or Mweya Hostel. Day 10: Transfer to Bwindi and Ishasha game drive:
Today's drive is through what is probably East Africa's most spectacular scenery, the highland rain forests which reach to the volcanoes in which live the mountain gorillas. A visit to view Kyambura gorge is interesting! Later, drive to Ishasha sector. This is the lushest highland rain forest on earth, filled with primates and exotic birds. The morning is spent on a game drive around the Ishasha sector looking for the rare tree African climbing lions. Thereafter drive to Bwindi via the landscape of tea plantations. Dinner and over night at Gorilla Forest Camp,Mahogany Springs, Engagi Lodge or Ruhija Lodge/Buhoma Bandas. Meal plan:(Full Board).
Day 11: Gorilla trek and community walk:
Begin the day with breakfast ready for trekking, which begins at 8:00am with a briefing from the UWA staff. Ensure to carry along with you rain jacket, drinking water, snacks, jungle boots etc The guides will lead you inside the jungle to see the shy Primates for a group you have been booked for. You may see the gorillas eating, sucking ants from a tree, swinging on vines, playing and sleeping. Do not forget to take your lunch boxes and all the necessary gear to track the rare Mountain Gorilla, perhaps one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth. It is most rewarding animal-based experience that clients get and others would definitely do it again if given the opportunity. There are now only 650 left in the world! The tracking may take between 2 and 6 hours but its well worth the effort. There is always an option to hire a local porter (highly recommended as it supports the local economy) who will carry your bag and literally, push you up the hills if necessary! Dinner and over night at Gorilla Forest Camp, Mahogany Springs, Engagi Lodge or Ruhija Lodge/Buhoma Bandas. Meal plan :( Full Board).
Day 12: Transfer to Lake Mburo and evening boat ride:
After breakfast, we drive to Lake Mburo via Mbarara. After lunch, drive to Lake Mburo NP where you will enjoy evening boat ride in Lake Mburo amidst Hippos.Other animals like Crocodiles herons, African King Fisher, Fish Eagles, Pelicans, and Crested Cranes including local fishermen and fishing villages may be seen. Diner and overnight at Mihingo Lodge,Mantana Tented Camp,Rwakobo Rock,Mburo safari Lodge, Arcadia Cottages or Mburo tents. Meal plan :( Full Board).
Day 13: Transfer to Entebbe for your outbound flight:
Morning game walk in the Park which is an is an extension of the Tanzanian Plains with big herds of Zebra, Impala, Eland , Warthogs ,buffalo and other savannah species. For birders, this is one of the best place to find African Fin foot, Papyrus, Bush Shrike, etc. Return to Kampala after lunch with stop over at Equator Uganda crossing and Mpambire drum makers for a brief photo opportunity and to shop souvenirs. Transfer to the Airport for your flight back home or to the next destination. Meal plan:(Half board).End of services.
